If you haven't heard me go on and on about Dave Ramsey - then you must be hiding under a rock! Please check him out - he can really help with your finances. Also he is having a major sale on all his books, DVD's and CD's right now -they are only $10 check out his website! Hope you are having a blessed day!

"Carry me" and "Hold me" DO NOT mean the same thing...

This morning I learned the difference between "carry me" and "hold me". I thought they were one and the same - just a different way to say it. But no momma - get it right! We were laying in bed - {daddy brought him in about 5:00 am when he went and checked on him}. Honey had just finished his sippy cup of strawberry milk and he turned to me and said "momma hold me". Well on most mornings he usually says "momma carry" and I lift him up on my chest and hold him like he is a baby until he falls back asleep - or my arm does, then I will lay him back on his pillow. So as usual, I reached over and tried to pick him up and he went hysterical! "NO Momma! You hold me!" Well needless to say, I was a little confused. I mean it was only 5:30 am, and my child is pulling away from our usual routine - what is going on? He rolled over and snuggled in next to me - almost like spooning - then he reached over and grabbed my arm and laid it over him - to "hold him". Now I get it! He patted my hand and rubbed my arm to let me know it was going to be all right. Then he drifted off to sleep. Now I get it.

My Honey....

It has already started...my honey is turning into a boy. Not mamma's little baby any more. A boy who doesn't want to have cutesy nicknames from momma, a boy who one day will turn away when I try to kiss him in public, a boy who will break his mommas heart one day when he leaves home on his own...a boy that will one day turn into a great man... and he's not even 3 yet!!! UGH!! What is a momma to do? We were driving home from Poppies house (my dad watches my son during the day when I work) I said "I Love you honey". He politely informed me that he is not my honey, my baby doll, or my sweetie - he then simply stated "I'm just A.J." Oh how they grow so fast...

We have a winner for the giveaway from last week!! A winner was chosen randomly by one of my dear friends... and the winner is JessieLeigh! Sounds like she can really use these. She has a great blog you should check it out here. And she is also giving away a Basket of Indulgence, well actually 3 of them! Visit her blog and enter to win! all you have to do is post a comment about your favorite quick treat that you carry in your purse or diaper bag for those last minute emergencies when your out with your little ones. My honey's favorite treat is either Goldfish crackers or "bunny crackers"(the organic healthier version of Goldfish by 'Annies'). I have to have a snack on hand and water at all times for my honey or he starts a major melt down. I guess I spoiled him when he was little and now he expects it all the time! Well hope you all have a blessed day!
