We are having a great time with schoolwork. I am amazed at the information I have found on the internet to do projects with my little honey. I am really fascinated by the Montessori way. I found this great site here with wonderful ideas and projects. I have been crazy busy this week putting together "lessons" and projects. Little honey is having a ball and gets excited when I bring out a new idea. I have been leaving them on the counter for him to see and decide on his time when he wants to work on something. This is a fascinating idea I have learned from the Montessori way and Brilliant I might add. He is going to these more times thru out the day than I ever imagined! Here he is putting the spots on Dog. I had no idea how quickly the colors and spots would come together for him. He has the next color ready before I even turn the page!! This is a great book to learn colors and I love the idea of having your child put the colors on Dog! Thank you Laura for the great idea!! Here is little honey giving Dog a bath! This is his favorite part and he wants to give Dog a bath over and over!! Potty training is finally working!! Yesterday he asked me to take him to the potty!! YEAH!! This was the first time - and he has every time since then! Oh I love it when something finally works! I believe renting "No More Diapers" video from the library really pushed him over the edge. We watched it about 20 times last week! I definitely recommend this video! Hope you have a great Monday!

Well little honey is feeling much better! He wanted to do a project today. I have been researching preschool/home school and Montessori/home school for a while and keep finding great activities for little honey to do. Well today we worked on mosaic tiles. He had so much fun getting glue on his paint brush and putting the glue on the paper tile. He wanted to tiles in certain spots - very particular! It was a blast! Off to the library now to get the books I ordered for home schooling!

Monday night we had a minor booboo. I really don't know how it happened - but it happened. Daddy was home and was helping out with the potty breaks. Dear hubby was getting a little frustrated so I went in the bathroom to try and alleviate some of the tension. I looked down and noticed a little blood on little honey's shirt and peepee. Not worried too much as little honey has problems with nose bleeds and I just assumed this was another one and it dripped down on his little peepee. But... taking a closer look... it appears that little nose was not bleeding...little peepee was bleeding!! OUCH! We have no idea what happened, did his pants get pulled down too fast or was there a loose string that nicked him? Unknown, but the fact remains little peepee has a booboo. So off to the doctor we went Tuesday. While we were there I thought I would mention to the doctor about his constant nose bleeds, and the incident that happened over the weekend. Oh I guess I forgot to mention that. Bloody little nose over the weekend. I put in our saving grace of NasalCease like I usually do. You are supposed to leave the packing in for about 30 minutes, and I like to check on it about every 5 minutes to make sure it hasn't fallen out or bleeding too heavily and needs new packing. Well after checking 2 times I noticed the packing in his nostril was gone! Mommy- where is your bloody nose stuff? Little honey - I put my finger up my nose. Mommy - what do you mean? Did you pull out the bloody nose stuff? Little honey - No. I pushed it up. WHAT??? Well what followed was Mommy getting hysterical and daddy wasn't home yet from work. Of course we have no flashlights in the house with working batteries! UGH!!! And the others are with Daddy at work. After calling daddy to come home as soon as possible with a working flashlight so we can see up his nose, my dear hubby calmed me down and told me to look on the Internet to find out more about foreign objects up the nose. The Internet is full of fascinating information that you might not want to know! It appears that yes toddlers do stuff things up their noses and quite often in fact! We tried a few home remedies to get the packing out of his nose - but no luck. My dear hubby is no help - he was not the least bit worried, saying "kids will be kids". HA! Well it is not the end of the world when something goes up the nose. I planned on getting him to the doctor on Monday, but no luck, and everyone seems to think it was not that big of a deal that maybe he pulled it out and didn't really push it up there. WRONG. On Tuesday the doctor was able to see up there with his handy dandy flashlight thingie (what are those things called any way? Ya know the thing that they use to look in your ears and down your throat - and obviously up your nose??) Well he saw the edge of it and sent us on our way to an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. Needles to say, 3 hours and no nap later we were scheduling a "procedure" for today!! I was so scared! They actually had to put him under with anesthesia!! This was the first time doing anything so serious like this. I was a basket case!! He was only under for about 10 minutes and all was fine. He has pushed the packing almost half way back! The doctor wasn't surprised. He was great with kids. If anyone needs a referral!!! While he was in there he was able to cauterize his nostrils - so no more nose bleeds!!! That is the only good thing about today. When we got to go and see him after he woke up he was so cute. Eyes all groggy and could barely sit up. It was so sad, but so cute. So mommy got a full day of laying around and being lazy - oh wait- I have had that for a while now!! :) No problems now - all is well. Thank the Lord! Oh and peepee is all better now, too! Hope your day was better than mine!

Did I tell you we are, I mean I am trying to potty train my honey? I told him when mommy started staying home we would be throwing away his diapers and starting to go potty on the potty chair all the time. He told me - "No, Let's throw away the potty chair!" Needless to say - I am having a time of it.... any ideas?????

Love it, Love it, Love it! Did I mention that I love being a stay at home mommy! I've started deep cleaning the house, doing projects with my honey, and just relaxing in general. I also hope to have some time to finish all these craft projects I start - or good ideas that never pan out since I am tired or busy. No more!!! Man I am really loving this - why didn't I do this before??? Excited about getting my house in order! I really have slacked off the past few months - oh who am I kidding. I have been slacking off the past few years!! The surface is clean - but below the surface things are hiding. No, nothing scary, just chaos and too much stuff!! I am starting to purge and get rid of stuff. Why do we have to have so much stuff? It is unbelievable the stuff we "can't live without". Only to live with out it because it sits in the closet or in the basement NOT getting used!! Well No More I say! If it is not nailed down (which nothing is in my house!) then it is on the path out the door - unless I am truly using it today - not planning on using it soon. So watch out stuff - your life in the stumper household is coming to an END! Hope you all are having a lovely day!
