the doctor is in the house

Poor little junior!! I was on the computer and little honey got his doctor kit out and was working on Junior when I turned around. I had to grab the camera and take a couple of shots. He was checking out his ears to make sure he wasn't sick anymore!! Look at his eyes - that look of fear. Saying "please help me!" All I could do was giggle!! He is such a good dog to put up with him!! Look at those big brown eyes!! And those long lashes!! They make me smile!! Anyone need the doctor to make a house call??

saturday auctions

So we took little honey to his first auction on Saturday. I think he was a little bored. I was a little bored - until they got started that is!!! We went because daddy wanted some tools and bike stuff and they just happened to have some home stuff that mommy was interested in!! I bid on a few quilts - they were pink and white!!! Who could resist?? But alas they went higher than I was willing to pay. I did snag this ~ A cute little cake holder/carrier. I just love the little glass knob at the top! I have never seen one like this before. It has an extra container at the bottom. It's pretty deep - three inches. Wondering what it is for?? To me it would be a perfect place to hold your plates, napkins and utensil for the cake, but I guess it is big enough to even hold a pie, or cookies! OK mom, aunties - whoever is reading - please fill me in!! I am dying to know!! The last real auction I went to was when I was in the 4th grade! My brother was the auctioneer!! He had taken auctioneer school as it was my grandpa's dream and my bro turned out doing it pretty good! I remember being bored then, too. I think that is just a little kid thing!! He was a redneck from head to toe during those days!! Oh my cute big bro! I was so proud of him! Then he went off to college and grew up. But, he made his little sister so happy in the 6th grade. We were having some silly auction at school, I don't even remember what is was for, but being so proud of him I volunteered his actioneer services for him!! It would be perfect. Right over his break from school and he would be back in town! Nothing could go wrong. Wrong. Right before he came home he broke his leg. I was so worried that he wouldn't be able to make the 10+ hour drive back for my school thing. Was I worried about his leg? No, only about him coming and making my day. Boy have I learned a lot since then!!! Well, big bro came. I was the happiest girl in the world! I don't think he knows how proud I was of him that day. Leaning up against a counter with his leg all wrapped up and crutches nearby. I was just happy he was there! That day was the best day for this little girl. My hottie brother showing off his skills. I think every female teacher in the school was in the room that day checking him out and they were all amazed at his auctioneer skills! He was so good, you almost couldn't understand him!! Knowing that he was my brother made this little gawky, 4-eyed, buck teeth girl popular for the day. Maybe even the week. No, it definately made my year!! Thanks big bro for the memories!! I will never forget them!! I only wish I had some pictures to share...they are vivid in my mind! Hope you enjoyed your Saturday.

getting baptised

I finally got the pictures I ordered from the day we got baptised last month. July 5th to be exact. It was a last minute decision. We didn't plan on getting baptised that day. We knew it was going to happen that day but Keith had kept saying lets wait. So we didn't have extra clothes to change into! I was baptised when I was younger, I think I was about 11 years old. But being baptised with my husband - it was his first time - meant SO MUCH! To be able to share that experience with him is Amazing!! The Pastor had a wonderful sermon about getting baptised and how we should all do this to show our salvation to the world, not be afraid or embarrassed about it. It was a powerful message. Once everyone who had planned on getting baptised was completed Pastor looked out to the audience and asked if there was anyone else who wanted to jump right in. I immediately looked at hubby and said "What do you think?" He smiled and said "OK". Now if you know my hubby, this is a VERY BIG STEP for him. He is very shy and hates to be the center of attention. So for him to stand up and walk to the front of the church is a MAJOR accomplishment!! I am so glad he did! As soon as we stood up the Pastor yelled "K. come on down!!" I think the Pastor was even surprised that he stood up, too!

We stood in the pool and gave a small testimony. Hubby said he was glad I was his wife and helped him be a better person and move closer to God. I was so proud of him!! We held hands when we went under and hugged when we were done.

I love this picture! Being wet on the way home was SO worth it!!!

I wish everyone we knew could have been there to enjoy this unforgettable day with us!! I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

boys and dirt...

This is what I found outside my front door last night... A closer look... Boys digging in my yard - "working" as little honey called it! He has been watching me move dirt and compost around for so long I guess he learned a thing or two!!I guess I should be happy he is using the shovel correctly!! We lost the tree that was in the front yard a few weeks ago. A storm blew over what was left of it. After digging out the roots we have a dirt pile left until we decide what tree to plant this fall. I guess it turns out to be the place to be if you are a boy between the ages of 3 and 8!! Notice how they neatly piled the dirt in the back of the truck and then started to drive around the yard - "to get the job done" as he said!! Well done my little honey!! Nice Job!!
